Esther Maddux Ph.D., CFP® | Resource Management Consultant

BIO:

Dr. Esther Maddux has been Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) since the late 1980s and a certified addiction counsellor since 2007. She taught personal financial management at the University of Georgia and Kansas State University; sold financial products and had a fee-only financial planning practice.

Dr. Maddux also worked as an addiction counsellor in many different types of settings from hospital recovery centers, to individual and group counsellors at intensive outpatient treatment centres and residential treatment centers.

Dr. Maddux holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University and a Certificate in Addiction and Prevention Studies.

In 2018, she was privileged to be selected as a University of Georgia Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) 100 Centennial Honoree. One hundred individuals were recognized for contributing strength, conviction, and commitment to shaping FACS programs since the program was founded in 1918.
